LONDON, June 12 (UPI) -- A senior British judge accused of flashing a young woman on a London subway train last fall showed the court his underpants Tuesday in his defense.

A female city worker in her 20s claims Lord Justice Stephen Richards, who sits on one of England's highest appellate courts, exposed himself to her on two occasions in October.

Richards, a 56-year-old father of three, was asked by his counsel, David Fisher, about the logistics of wearing briefs opposed to boxer shorts after his underwear was entered as evidence in Westminster magistrate's crown court, The Telegraph reported.

"In order to remove your penis when you're wearing your Calvin Klein briefs is it necessary to use one or two hands?" Fisher asked.

"If I had to pee, I would use two hands," Richards replied. "It is the natural way of doing it."

The unidentified woman said she followed the 6-foot-3 Richards after he exposed his private parts to her by opening his long raincoat and snapped pictures of him with her cell phone camera.
