A volunteer who was among more than 100 people combing the area around Jacob Lagerquist's home near Biwabik, was calling out the boy's name while walking in a wooded area when he responded, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported. Advertisement "Mom? Do you know my mom?" Jacob asked when the search team member spotted him, leaning against a tree. The boy told rescuers he slept out in the woods on some grass. He had crossed a road onto a neighbor's property, where he was found. Lt. Ed Kippley of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department said Jacob was checked out by paramedics and appeared fine. The 4-foot-3, 80-pound boy was noticed missing by his family about 6:15 p.m. Monday and authorities were notified about an hour later. Authorities conducted a ground and air search into the night but didn't find him until the next day.
