NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- A new Lifeskool TV poll found 70 percent of Americans surveyed want to take their lovemaking into their cars this summer.

A news release from the On Demand TV network Wednesday said that in its recent "Cars & Summer Romance Survey" of 1,000 men and women, seven of 10 people responded they want to have sex in a car this season and 49 percent admitted to having done so since their school days.

To help those amorous drivers along, the poll also determined what cars would give them the best chance to complete their goals. Thirty percent thought a BMW would significantly help prospective lovers complete their mission, while 24 percent tabbed a Mercedes.

A total of 66 percent of respondents also admitted they would date someone simply because they drove an impressive automobile.

The poll discovered some advice for men, as well. Of those surveyed, 30 percent said they thought a man driving a Hummer was using the massive vehicle to overcome certain shortcomings.
