NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- New York department store Saks is expanding its shoe department to 8,500 square feet, 10,000 pairs of shoes and its own ZIP code.

The new ZIP code -- 10022-SHOE -- will be first one the U.S. Postal Service has issued for the floor of a building and the first one postal authorities have let a business choose an alphabetic custom plus-four ending for, the New York Post reported.

The new shoe department will take up the entire eighth floor at Saks' flagship Fifth Avenue store and will be named after the ZIP code, 10022 -SHOE, the Post reported.

The Post said 10022-SHOE will have an in-store cobbler, a coffee and chocolate shop and a 9,000-square-foot stock room.
