Bruno the cat nearly died before he was given the special feline inhaler to quell his hay fever, The Daily Mail reported Thursday. Advertisement Owner Anna Dickie noticed Bruno's asthma became much worse once the field of bright yellow rape popped up near their home, so she took him to the vet where he was given steroids and an inhaler, she said. "It is quite rare but my asthmatic cat is particularly affected by the horrid rape crop," she said. "He was close to dying and spent several days in intensive care because of his asthma." Then, she said, the vet prescribed an inhaler to help the cats' asthma. Dickie said at first she was skeptical, but the inhaler has done wonders. "We had to experiment with using the puffer at first although it looks just like a human inhaler," she said. "He wasn't very keen at first, but he is now very good at taking it."
