LONDON, May 10 (UPI) -- A Staffodshire bull terrier was rescued by military helicopter in Britain after two weeks on a cliff ledge.

The Daily Mail said the dog, named Bush, survived by eating a dead bird and drinking from a waterfall that runs along the 100-foot cliffs in North Devon, the London newspaper said Thursday.

The dog disappeared while his owner Margie Brett was on holiday in the area.

The newspaper said Bush is being treated by a veterinarian and will be reunited with Brett and her husband in a few days.
