Nude biker spotted in Sweden

HOOR, Sweden, May 4 (UPI) -- Swedish police say a nude man spotted riding a motorcycle in the southern part of the country may not have been breaking any laws.

Police in Hoor said they received a call about the nude rider at around lunchtime Friday, but the mystery nudist had vanished by the time officers arrived at the central square, The Local reported Friday.

"We put it out on the police radio but none of our patrols have seen him yet," police spokesman Lars Mahler said.

Mahler said that if the naked motorcyclist was wearing a helmet -- a fact police are as yet unclear on -- there may not have been a crime committed.

"If you ride a motorbike you need a helmet but there is no other protective clothing required," said Mahler.

However, Mahler said police would still like to speak with the man.

"Well, we would ask him why he was riding around naked. Also if somebody didn't like it they could report him for disorderly conduct," said Mahler.
