DURHAM, England, April 13 (UPI) -- A British teenager is hiding from her parents after an out-of-control party resulted in massive devastation to the family's home.

Rachel Bell, 17, said she advertised the gathering on the social networking Web site MySpace and the invitation was hijacked and posted elsewhere on the Internet, bringing it to the attention of party crashers, The Telegraph reported Friday.

"I absolutely regret everything that happened. I still haven't properly slept, I just keep waking up and thinking about what happened," she said.

"The party wasn't supposed to start until 10 o'clock, but at half nine we saw people pulling up in cars.

"We didn't recognize them and didn't know what was going on so we bolted the door -- but they just started climbing through the window," she said.

Bell's parents, Alan and Elaine, arrived home after their Easter weekend vacation to find the house trashed. Elaine Bell said she wants her daughter, who is staying with a friend, arrested for malicious damage.

"What these people have done is just unbelievable," she told The Mirror. "I'm in such a state. I've been sick every day since we got back."
