Tabbed by the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the tallest living man, Bao's search for a wife quickly gained the attention of the Bangkok Post.

"After sending out marriage advertisements across the world and going through a long selection process, the efforts have finally paid off," the paper had said after the record holder finally met with success.

The marriage was not only a first for Bao, but also for his wife, Xia Shujuan, who is more than two feet shorter then him and half his age.

The livestock herder previously gained notoriety after saving two dolphins last December by reaching his lengthy arms down their throats to extract pieces of plastic, the Daily Mail said.
