Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas

ZANZIBAR CITY, Tanzania, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Muslim leaders in Zanzibar are angry over a police ban on women driving while wearing veils.
The BBC said police issued the ban to reduce traffic accidents.
Police deny allegations by Muslim leaders that the ban is an attack on the religion, which is observed by 95 percent of the population.
There were more than 600 accidents on Zanzibar last year, but there are few women drivers and no indication that the accidents were caused by veils, the BBC said.
