CHICAGO, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears punter, Brad Maynard, beat out fellow teammates for the title of sexiest Bear in a Chicago Sun-Times poll.
Maynard received 57 percent of the vote in an online poll aimed at getting women into the play-off spirit, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday.
In second place was Adewale Ogunleye with 8 percent of the vote, followed by Hunter Hillenmeyer and Brian Urlacher tied at about 7 percent, and Brian Griese at 5 percent.
"I don't know what's sexy about being 32, married with three kids and balding," Maynard said upon learning of his honor. "It's not the status. We all have that. It's not the checkbook because mine's not the biggest. It must be personality."
Maynard's victory was most likely due to the publicity he received and the campaigning done for him by radio hosts Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart on WTMX-FM, Chicago, with an assist from Maynard's wife, Karen.
