Angela Perry, 42, was stunned when fellow officers, responding to a report of a crime at her home, awakened her at 4 a.m. Advertisement "My son and I were asleep upstairs," she said. "I thought I was safe in my own home because of the work I do," she said later. Neighbors said the 10-year veteran officer sobbed as she spoke about the break-in, The New York Post reported. Her gun, badge and charcoal Toyota 4Runner were still missing Saturday. A neighbor who rents the downstairs apartment called police after coming home at about 3 a.m. and finding the back door open.
