BUFFALO, Minn., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Pac-Man, the yellow '80s video game star, has made a comeback on a stretch of Minnesota highway, where he appears to be munching on painted safety dots.

"I drove that road the other day," Wright County Sheriff Gary Miller told the Minneapolis Star Tribune after seeing the much bigger Pac-Man on Highway 55 outside of Buffalo. "It's definitely a Pac-Man eating a dot."

Officials don't know who painted the giant Pac-Man but they say the artist must have been back at least once to touch him up.

The painted dots that Pac-Man appears to be eating are aimed at deterring tailgating on the highway.
