NAGASAKI, Japan, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- In order to create a 164-foot roll cake in the Japanese city of Nagasaki, nearly 150 people came together to help roll up the culinary treat.
The unusual collaboration was part of a Christmas sales campaign by area store owners and the 150 volunteers used nearly 600 eggs and 33 pounds of sugar to create the roll cake, the Mainichi Daily News said.
Also added into the mix were nearly 29 pounds of wheat flour and 110 pounds of strawberry jam used as the cake's stuffing.
The paper said the massive amounts of ingredients used in the event were equal to the what area confectionery Baigetsudo usually used over a period of more than 10 days.
