Nude man leads police on high-speed chase

NASHVILLE, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- A man led Nashville police on a high-speed chase after fleeing from a Waffle House restaurant that he and a women had entered naked.

The unidentified woman told police that the man ingested cocaine and "started acting crazy," the Nashville Tennessean said. Police said the woman told them she was held captive in a nearby motel room, but that she was able to escape and ran to the restaurant.

The man, identified as Larry E. Boyd, fled in the woman's car, leading police on the chase that reached 100 miles per hour, the newspaper said. Police took the man into custody after they spiked the car's tires.

Officers said they found an empty beer bottle and a gram of crack cocaine, the Tennessean said. Police said Boyd was charged with felony evading arrest, DUI, possession of a controlled substance and several other violations.
