Man mows racial slur into field

EDGEWATER PARK, N.J., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A municipal court hearing is scheduled Nov. 15 for a New Jersey man charged with using a lawnmower to cut a racial slur into a field near his home.

Dennis E. Westphal, 19, of Edgewater Park, was arrested after a pilot who flew over the field saw the slur and reported it to police, reported the Courier-Post of Camden, N.J.

An arrest warrant charges Westphal with bias intimidation and harassment.

There is no word on exactly what was written in the field.
