ADELAIDE, Australia, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- An armed robber has stolen 12 snakes -- together worth about $80,500 -- from an Australian home.

The man tied up a woman and two boys at their home northeast of Adelaide before leaving with the non-poisonous green tree pythons, the Adelaide Advertiser reported Thursday.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as Caucasian in his early 30s with a dark goatee and a deep voice. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark blue shirt and pants, a brown wide-brimmed hat, dark sunglasses, white shoes and gardening gloves.
