Smoking pants lead police to bank robber

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A man in Orlando, Fla. was caught by police after allegedly robbing a bank, when smoke was seen coming from his pants.

WKMG-TV Orlando reported that Kenneth Ray Brooks went into Centura Bank Friday and demanded cash. He than reportedly tucked the wad of bills into his waistband.

When an explosive die in the cash was set off, Brooks' pants began to smoke, rousing the attention of police.

Brooks, 42, was hospitalized with possible burns. He has been charged with robbery.
