CINCINNATI, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- An Ohio man is suing his daughter's dance team coach after he was arrested in the middle of high school basketball game.

The Cincinnati Enquirer says John Griesinger of Loveland, Ohio, has filed a federal lawsuit, alleging the coach, Loveland school officials and a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy violated his civil rights through public humiliation and arrest.

He claims the school and coach retaliated against him after he accused coach Linda Lang of dressing inappropriately at performances, the newspaper said.

Lang accused Griesinger of voyeurism. He was arrested during halftime of a basketball game, when the dance team typically performs.

Griesinger said he was escorted from the gym in handcuffs while parents and students cheered and laughed.

The newspaper said the voyeurism charge was later dismissed.
