CARSON CITY, Nev., Aug. 2 (UPI) -- A 150-pound bear decided to take the MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa in Carson City, Nev., up on its offer of being a "habitat for everything wild."
The resort's ad even had a picture of a bear being served fish from a waitress, the Nevada Appeal reported Wednesday.
"Evidently the bears out there heard the story that bears can be fed at the nightclub at MontBleu," employee Earl Zeller told the newspaper. "I guess we reached our target audience."
The bear apparently entered the establishment through the loading dock and wandered the halls likely in search of food, only to be scared off when it encountered a number of MontBleu employees.
The paper said the incident, while indeed unusual, did not beat out last month's news of a bear cub feasting on a barbecue-chicken-and-jalapeño pizza and a Jack Daniels mixer in car parked outside the casino.
