PITTSBURGH, July 13 (UPI) -- An 80-year-old Pittsburgh man has been convicted of trading crack cocaine for sex from prostitutes in his home.

Felix Cocco was first arrested for selling crack in November, but was arrested again in February, and police seized crack, cash, a scale, packaging materials and a handgun, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

At his trial Wednesday, defense attorney Martha Bailor said Cocco wanted to remain sexually active after his wife died three years ago.

"He decided it's cheaper to pay for sex with crack than cash," Bailor said.

As for his sales to others, Cocco said it was all economics.

"I was trying to stay alive, your honor, pay my bills," Cocco said.

He was placed under house arrest and ordered to wear a tracking bracelet until his sentencing on Oct. 2, the report said.
