The personalized plate features the state's beloved beast on a brown background with the words "Home on the Range." Advertisement "This is like the Academy Awards of the license plate world," Carmen Alldritt, state director of vehicles, told the Kansas City Star. The newspaper said Buffy has proved to be Kansas' most popular personalized license plate, with 77,000 now on the road.
