Man accused of stealing landscaping items

ADELANTO, Calif., May 18 (UPI) -- A man has been arrested after allegedly being seen carrying away sod, sprinklers and landscaping tools from a home construction site in Adelanto, Calif.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies Pat Briggs and Art Alvarado followed up on a report from the homeowner after witnesses provided information about the theft, the Victorville Daily Press reported.

A police investigation identified David Roger Bowers, 34, as the alleged thief.

Police arrested Bowers on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property and took him to the Victor Valley Jail.
