WHITEHAVEN, England, March 20 (UPI) -- A father and daughter in England have taken their spat over her messy bedroom to the Internet, with sites containing unflattering pictures of each other.
Steve Williams told The Guardian he threatened his 20-year-old daughter Claire unless she cleaned up her room, he'd post pictures of it on the Internet. She refused, and Williams, a computer programmer, set up the shameit.com site two weeks ago, and posted the pictures.
His daughter, a business student, quickly retaliated and set up a rival site featuring her father.
"All my friends feel sorry for Claire so they're ganging up on me," said Williams. "They've managed to dig out photos of me drunk and dancing round with a handbag at a party, and also put pictures of my garage on to show it's not just Claire who's untidy."
Williams said his daughter has cleaned up her room, and only begun talking to him in the last two days. He said he considers the site experiment to be a success, and noted his son has also recently tidied up his room considerably.
