KINGSTON, Mass., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts Toys 'R' Us has banned "Heely-Wheelies" from the premises because the manager believes that the shoe-roller skate combo is a hazard.

"The store has had a couple of incidents where kids have 'heelied' at some speeds that were unsafe for some of the other customers," Toys 'R' Us spokeswoman Kathleen Waugh told the Boston Herald.

Waugh said that the store in Kingston posted a sign notifying customers of the ban but has since taken it down.

Mike Staffaroni, chief executive of the Carrolton, Texas, Heeling Sports Limited company, told the Herald that it is flattering to be banned by name.

"My position is you shouldn't roll on Heelys anywhere you wouldn't take your roller skates," he said.
