PARIS, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- France's top court has told a man he must either bury or cremate the bodies of his parents, whose frozen remains are in a cellar of his chateau, a report said.

The French high court cited health concerns in ordering Remy Martinot to move the bodies from his Neuil-sur-Layon, France, home. Martinot's lawyer said the ruling may be appealed to the European Court of Human Rights, the BBC reported.

Martinot's father, who died in 2002, was a doctor and believed that cryogenically frozen bodies could be brought back to life.

Martinot's mother also has been frozen in a cellar of the chateau since her death in 1984.

Before his death, Martinot's father helped defray refrigeration costs by charging visitors to view his late wife's frozen remains, the report said.
