SANTA ANA, Calif., Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Neighbors of a Huntington Beach, Calif., man sued for invasion of privacy on grounds he secretly videotaped them in the nude for six years, a report said.

Yvonne Goodwin said she hasn't slept in her bedroom since she learned a year ago that a neighbor had taped her, her fiance and other neighbors in the nude or varying stages of undress.

Goodwin and three other people filed suit Tuesday against William Brown, 36, and his mother asking for unspecified damages for emotional distress and invasion of privacy, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Brown pleaded guilty in December to misdemeanors. He was sentenced to 210 days in jail and ordered to attend a sex offender program.

Rogers and her brother discovered high-powered cameras on Brown's daughter's playhouse, the suit claims. Other cameras were found in trees, on eaves and in Brown's attic along with editing equipment.

During his arrest, Brown begged police not to take the tapes that "meant everything to him," the Orange County, Calif., suit contends.
