Belly dancer entices men to holiday shop

UPTON, Mass., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts store used a belly dancer to bring in male customers as the holiday shopping season heads down the home stretch.

The Sweet William Farm Country Store in Upton, Mass., hired Samirah to dance to traditional Middle Eastern music during the stores first "Men Only Shopping Night," the Milford (Mass.) Daily News reports.

The store is on an 18th-century farm, one of only a few still in operation in the state.

Owner Caroline Nicholson said she thought the belly dancer ploy would bring in more men to shop.
