MOSCOW, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Caviar is not just for the chi-chi set in Russia anymore -- it's available in a vending machine in central Moscow.

The Russian Information Agency Novosti reports a vending machine stocked with salmon roe has been installed on Novy Arbat, Moscow's main street.

The caviar comes in various size servings, kept at a chilly 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit) to keep it fresh.

Novosti did not identify the company responsible for installing the "ikormat" but quoted a company representative as saying the tins are expensive, even though the machines will not be stocked with premium varieties like Beluga, and likely will not be showing up at gyms or movie theaters any time soon.

"We would have to put a guard to them," the company representative told Novosti.
