A look at cooking habits of 14,000 people in 27 European, Asian and North American countries found the Dutch average 40 minutes to cook a meal, Expatica reports. Advertisement The survey, commissioned by furniture dealer IKEA, showed Russians spend the most time in the kitchen, averaging 90 minutes a meal. The survey average was 61 minutes. Men made up a small percentage of the cooks and when they were in the kitchen, most were bachelors. Women were found to be the cooks 85 percent of the time.
