INVERNESS, Scotland, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Britain's Naked Rambler is back behind bars.
Stephen Gough has been attempting to walk from Land's End to John O'Groats wearing only boots and a backpack. But his hike, like a similar one two years ago, has been interrupted by arrests and jail terms.
When he set out in June, Gough and his female companion said they would complete the walk in two months. They are still some distance from their goal.
Gough appeared in court Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to a disorderly conduct charge, The Scotsman reported. He had been arrested on the Inverness-Thurso Road.
In September, a court in Edinburgh sentenced Gough to two weeks in jail, also for disorderly conduct.
A former Royal Marine who lives in Bournemouth on England's south coast, Gough says walking naked celebrates the human body.
