Mayor Jose Serra ordered ads for the city's brothels removed or covered up, the BBC reported. Advertisement The billboards were tied to the race, with one showing a woman who might be engaged in oral sex with a racing car driver. Others had pictures of women and a caption "emotion on every curve." Brothels, sometimes billed as "relaxation clubs for men," have traditionally targeted race fans arriving for the Grand Prix. But Serra has made prostitution, which is legal in Brazil, something of a cause since he became mayor in January.
