Ismael Velasquez, 47, was also given a concurrent 80-year sentence for tampering with evidence. Advertisement Prosecutors said police were called about a man behaving strangely at a Shell convenience store on Jan. 11. Velasquez, who had only been released from jail on a drug charge the day before, panicked when he saw the police. He bolted into a washroom, tried to flush a baggie and had to be pried away from the bowl by two officers. The baggie was recovered, and tested positive for cocaine, the Austin American-Statesman reported. "It was sort of like trying to flush a ping-pong ball," Williamson County District Attorney John Bradley said. "Twenty years ago that might have flushed, but nowadays with the low-flow flush, it's not going to make it."
