LONDON, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Seventy-seven percent of British women say sex is better in their 40s than it was in their 20s, a Health Plus Magazine survey concludes.

Some 82 percent said sex is just as important in midlife as it was in younger years and 45 percent say they want it even more.

Two in three British women say they feel more confident about their bodies, are more adventurous in their 40s and had the best sex ever while being married.

"Older women are tired of people thinking sex is only for 16- to 39-year-olds, with the possible exception of Liz Hurley or other celebrities who wear Versace and pout a lot," magazine Editor Colette Harris told Sky News.

"The truth is, 40-plus women know how to enjoy passion with their partner," Harris said.
