DUBLIN, Ireland, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A 50-year-old Irish woman who won a record $136 million Euromillions lottery jackpot has gone into hiding until she can collect her winnings.

Dolores McNamara of County Limerick checked her ticket in a pub Friday night and discovered she had won the grand prize, which had accumulated after nine weekly rollovers without a winner.

A friend of the woman, Geraldine Donohoe told the BBC McNamara is "a lovely person" who "more than deserved what she got."

While the media is abuzz over her win, the National Lottery of Ireland said it could not confirm there was a winner until the person came forward with the winning ticket.

To win the jackpot, players must match five main numbers from 1 to 50, and 2 Lucky Star numbers from 1 to 9.

Euromillions tickets also are sold in Britain, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, France, Luxembourg and Spain.
