BONN, Germany, July 11 (UPI) -- An Italian entrepreneur has developed a guidebook that will lead papal devotees on a tour of Pope Benedict XVI's German homeland.

The 152-page book "The Bavaria of Joseph Ratzinger; a practical guide to the origins of Benedict XVI," goes on sale this week in Italian bookstores, according to Deutsche Welle. The guide is intended to help pilgrims plan their vacations around the places where the pope lived, celebrated Mass and his favorite places to eat.

"It's a different way to get to know this holy man, for Catholics and non-Catholics," author Jeanne Perego, who lives in Germany, told reporters.

Along with tips on restaurants and accommodations, the book features interviews with family and friends. There is even advice as to where visitors can find "Pope Beer" and "Ratzinger cake.
