WISN-TV in Milwaukee reports police seized the West Allis woman's computer.

The woman told the television station her daughter had made up the story.

"She likes getting people in trouble," the woman said. "This isn't the first time social services has been involved in my life because she fibs the truth."

The woman's two daughters remain in her custody while the case is investigated.

Bear leaves sign on living room floor

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 1 (UPI) -- A bear broke into a house in Alaska, ripped up a couch, knocked over a planter, ate sandwich rolls and left a pile of excrement on the living room floor.

The break-in was discovered by Tyler Saupe, a college student on vacation, when he returned from work to his family's house in the Stuckagain Heights section of Anchorage.

"I saw the bear poop on the floor and I was just kind of like, 'Oh, my god, there's a bear in the house!'" Tyler told the Anchorage Daily News. "I put my hand down next to it to see if it was warm."

Wandering black bears have become an increasing problem in parts of Anchorage, with nine killed, trapped or struck by cars so far this year. Rick Sinnott, a state biologist, told the newspaper bears rarely enter houses unless doors are open.

In the Saupe home, the bear apparently broke through a window screen.

70 years later, H.S. sweethearts marry

FARGO, N.D., July 1 (UPI) -- A couple of North Dakota high school sweethearts have finally married, more than 70 years after they split up and went off to different colleges.

Thora Dennis, 92, and Horace Johnson, 91, married in a formal ceremony at a Lutheran church in Fargo with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in attendance, the Bismarck Tribune reports. Dennis was escorted down the aisle by her 96-year-old brother, while Johnson's best man was his 86-year-old brother.

The couple are now living in Johnson's apartment in Fargo and planning a delayed honeymoon trip to Winnipeg.

The Johnsons grew up in Abercrombie, N.D., and kept company in high school, which in those days meant holding hands during strolls around town. Then she went to North Dakota State, while he headed south to the University of Houston.

Two years ago, Johnson, on a trip to Bismarck, got in touch with his old sweetheart. They had dinner, started writing letters and decided it was time to marry.

Alleged assault-for-hire follows car crash

ATLANTA, July 1 (UPI) -- A Georgia lawyer has been charged with trying to hire a former client to beat up a prosecutor who was involved in a fender-bender with his daughter.

Frank Moore faces a charge of criminal solicitation of aggravated assault, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Fani Willis, an assistant Fulton County district attorney, rear-ended Moore's daughter in April. District Attorney Paul Howard said Cornelia Moore did not seem upset by the crash at the time.

But a few weeks later Daryl Cole, who had been represented by Moore in a civil case, reported to the prosecutor's office that Moore asked him to rough Willis up, telling him "if you have to kill her, do that." Cole showed investigators a list he said came from Moore that included Willis's home address, the names of her children and their schools.

Moore's attorney described Cole as a felon trying to get back at a lawyer he was unsatisfied with. Cole allegedly told investigators Moore thought Willis was trying to run his daughter off the road as part of a conspiracy against him by county officials.
