LOS ANGELES, June 29 (UPI) -- Political pundit Arianna Huffington has signed a deal with Yahoo! News that will allow Yahoo! to post content from Huffingtonpost.com.

Huffington's new Web site features blogs by a lineup of celebrities that include writer Norman Mailer, playwright David Mamet and actress Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Daily Variety reported the deal will put select postings in Yahoo!'s opinion section, although some postings may wind up in the entertainment feed.

"The addition of Huffingtonpost.com represents the first content agreement for Yahoo! News with a blog, bringing a fresh and unique perspective to the site," said Yahoo! News general manager Neil Budde.

Huffingtonpost.com has a reputation for leaning left politically, but it also features writing by a number of conservatives, including Joe Scarborough and Byron York.

Topics: Arianna Huffington, David Mamet, Joe Scarborough, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Norman Mailer
