WICHITA, Kan., June 14 (UPI) -- A Kansas woman has been charged with stealing money and lottery tickets from the gas station that employed her and then reporting a robbery.

The Wichita Eagle reports that police became suspicious because the woman's story that the station had been robbed at gunpoint by three men did not hang together. She made the call after leaving the station.

Investigators found more than $1,000 in cash, the lottery tickets and the store's security video in her house.
