WASHINGTON, June 14 (UPI) -- A blonde porn star has vowed to be on her best behavior at a Republican party dinner and fundraiser in Washington to be attended by President George Bush.
Mary Carey and porn producer Mark Kulkis told the New York Daily News they applied to attend more than a week ago, but didn't know if they would get in to the $2,500-per-plate event until Monday when the tickets arrived.
"A Secret Service agent even came up and asked for Mary's autograph," Kulkis said.
Carey, who ran for California governor in 2003, said she was "going to show Washington that a porn star is more than someone who just flashes her boobs," and that in real life, she is "proper, quiet and demure, but nobody sees that."
Tuesday night's dinner is expected to raise $23 million for GOP House and Senate candidates, the newspaper said.
