LONDON, June 12 (UPI) -- A confidential Buckingham Palace document has revealed that Prince Charles' wife, Camilla, ranks fourth in the pecking order of royal British women.

Whereas Princes Diana, Charles' first wife, ranked behind only the Queen and the Queen Mother, Camilla ranks behind the Queen, Princess Anne and Princess Alexandra, the Daily Mail reported Sunday.

The Mail said the document, approved by the Queen, was the first to include the Duchess of Cornwall -- who will legally become Queen when Prince Charles is crowned King -- since the royal wedding April 8.

Royalty experts claim Camilla's position is a snub from Queen Elizabeth II.

Charles Moseley, editor-in-chief of Debretts, publisher of the reference guide to the aristocracy, said, "Camilla coming below the Princess Royal and Princess Alexandra marks a change from the previous position . . . This represents a major demotion for Camilla."
