Once cornered by police Monday, the reptile was identified as a non-poisonous pine snake, the New York Post reported Tuesday. Advertisement Owner Dan Welch said he bought the Mazda pickup in New Jersey last week then drove it to Texas and back to New York. Pine snakes are native to the Southeastern United States, but can also be found in some areas of New Jersey.
