KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 30 (UPI) -- County workers in Kansas City, Mo., will no longer be allowed to hawk Girl Scout cookies to their fellow workers.

The employees of Johnson County can post a small notice in their general work area about the cookies, but cannot go from office to office to sell the cookies during working hours, the Kansas City Star reported Monday.

The new rule will not spare even County Commissioner Doug Wood, whose granddaughter has benefited from Wood's salesmanship in the past.

"Oops," said the commissioner when he learned of the rule.
