HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, England, May 24 (UPI) -- Two people were hospitalized in Chelmsford, England, Tuesday with burns from homemade, gasoline-filled "Star Wars" light sabers, which set them ablaze.

Authorities said they found Mark Webb and Shelley Mandiville on the ground when they were called to a wooded area near Hemel Hempstead.

Both were hospitalized in critical condition.

Police said it was believed the pair filled florescent tubes with gasoline to imitate the weapon used in "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith."

The sixth "Star Wars" movie has set new box office records.

Police said the pair may have been taping themselves during the mock fight.
