HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio, March 30 (UPI) -- A Huntington Township, Ohio, headstone may have solved a century of mystery surrounding the so-called Blue Girl immortalized in paint by Archibald Willard.

Alpaca farmer Dan Daily was digging in his barn recently when he discovered a perfectly preserved headstone of 3-year-old Hattie Adele Pratt who died in 1862, WEWS-TV reported.

Daily and his wife believe Pratt may have been buried in their barn and were working with relatives to determine what steps to take next.

Willard painted the chubby-faced Blue Girl from a family photo of Pratt, who died of diphtheria.
