After eight hours of labor Joanne Stokes termed "horrific," the mother gave birth naturally at Royal United Hospital in Bath, England, last month, the Daily Mail reported Friday. Advertisement "I knew he would be large but not 15 pounds," Stokes said. "It was a big shock." However, the large size of Charlie Stokes was not a complete surprise. She and her IT consultant husband Robert have a daughter, Lilian, who weighed 12 pounds when she was born 18 months ago. "The midwives told me he would be the same size or bigger," Joanne Stokes said. "But I hadn't braced myself for this."
