Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe CASPER, Wyo., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A 21-year-old Wyoming man moving all of his belongings in his automobile crashed after his cat and snake got loose and began fighting. Jeffrey Wilkerson was driving along Wyoming Highway 789 near Riverton when his pet cat "somehow got out of the box" and discovered the snake, the (Casper, Wyo.) Star-Tribune reported Tuesday. Advertisement "The snake hissed at the cat, and the cat got excited," said Highway Patrol Trooper Bill Bregar. Unfortunately the cat and snake chose to duke it out underneath the car's brake pedal. Wilkerson was unable to stop and his car tumbled into a ditch. "It could have been a nasty crash, if someone had been coming," Bregar said. Wilkerson was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, nor were his pets, but the car sustained $1,000 in damage.
