HAVELOCK NORTH, New Zealand, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- A new Zealand mother is grateful that two men on vacation saved her child using CPR skills they had seen performed in a movie.

Natasha Gude said her 4-year-old twins, Brooke and Jade, had been playing in a shallow lagoon Sunday near Ocean Beach with other children and she was diverted by watching her son swim in the ocean.

Gude then discovered she couldn't see the twins in the lagoon. She fished out Jade, who was unconscious and purple, while she screamed for help in finding the other twin girl, reported the New Zealand Herald Monday.

The mother performed CPR on Jade, while two men found Brooke at the bottom of the lagoon, and although they did not know CPR they did what they had seen at a recent movie, and gave CPR to the girl.

Both children, who had been limp and unconscientious, survived and have been released from the hospital.
