CHICAGO, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- A Chicago teen who assaulted multiple police officers, biting one man's lip off while handcuffed and escaping custody, has been recaptured.

Officer Jesse Johnson, 49, will require plastic surgery after a handcuffed Michael Hall, 17, allegedly bit him in the face Saturday as he was being transferred to Central District lockup on a charge of battery for biting another officer's finger, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Hall was discovered Sunday night -- sans handcuffs -- hiding in a South Side apartment. When he emerged in a "threatening manner," he was stunned with a Taser and recaptured, Central District Lt. Charles Flynn said.
