ALBUQUERQUE, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- An Albuquerque man says he sees Christ's face on a small hunk of marble and he's already got a $100,000 opening bid on eBay.
Carlos Chavez, cradling the smooth gold, brown and gray colored rock, points out the crown of thorns, eyes, nose, mouth and arms, which form a "V" as Jesus hangs on the cross, the Albuquerque Journal said.
"It's kind of a miracle," says Chavez, a Roman Catholic.
Chavez, with the help of his cousin, Joe Gonzales, put his rock on eBay, one of 22 images of Christ for sale.
Chavez is an Albuquerque artist and a carpet installer. Tall and thin with a black mustache, Chavez unknowingly picked up the piece along with other scrap marble at a rock quarry in Belen last summer.
